Home Contents Insurance
Some people think that home contents insurance is a luxury they can’t afford. Other people may think it is an unnecessary expense. But having a good home contents insurance policy could be worth its weight in gold if your belongings are lost, stolen or damaged.
Without home contents insurance, you will need to find the money to replace or repair things that have been lost, stolen or damaged – and this can be very expensive.
Lots of companies offer home contents insurance policies. A quick search on the internet will bring up a list, but it is important to check the level of cover, read the small print and compare prices. Tandem can only advise you to consider buying home contents insurance, and to check carefully that the policy meets your needs.

Erimus housing and Tees Valley housing has a low-cost home contents insurance scheme, which is open to all tenants and leaseholders.
